Assessments & Evaluations

Comprehensive Approach

Adult ADHD and Bariatric Surgery

We specialize in comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for adult ADHD, providing clients with a thorough understanding of symptoms that may impact physical and mental health. Our evaluations are designed to offer clear insights into each client’s unique strengths and challenges, offering tailored recommendations for effective management. Additionally, we conduct pre-bariatric surgery evaluations, assessing psychological readiness for surgery and identifying factors that may contribute to long-term success. By addressing both the psychological and behavioral aspects of weight, we support clients in achieving sustainable health goals and improved well-being.

Adult ADHD Evaluations

Our practice offers brief diagnostic assessments for adult ADHD. Our comprehensive assessments focus on key areas such as attention, organization, impulse control, and executive functioning, helping to identify patterns that may affect daily activities, health, mental health, work, and relationships. Through detailed interviews, brief testing, and personalized feedback, we aim to provide a clear diagnosis and actionable insights tailored to each individual’s unique profile. Our goal is to empower clients with knowledge and resources to better manage ADHD symptoms and enhance their quality of life.

Bariatric/Metabolic Surgery Evaluations

Coping with weight and obesity-related struggles invariably involves a mental health aspect. No matter what you want for yourself, you are welcome here. In our work as Medical Health Psychologists, we’ve walked alongside many clients contemplating bariatric surgery, and we intentionally work to understand your unique challenges in our practice.

Coping with weight/obesity throughout one's life invariably takes a toll on mental health. Treatment with bariatric surgery can, too. In our pre-surgical evaluations, we help  you get prepared for this life changing, and sometimes life-saving, intervention by identifying potential risk factors for weight regain after surgery – such as emotional eating triggers, stressors, and lifestyle challenges – to support sustainable, long-term health and wellbeing. And, long after your surgery, if you experience unexpected changes in your mental health or body image, eating patterns, or relationships, we are prepared to help you navigate these issues over time.

3. Evaluation Appointment

Your appointment is not a test to be passed, but instead it is an opportunity for you to learn more about yourself, to enhance your education about your condition, and to prepare for your life ahead. We are here to make recommendations that will ensure you are supported before and after surgery.
