We understand that every person’s life and experiences are complex, shaped by unique challenges, histories, and perspectives. That’s why we take the time to truly get to know you, allowing us to offer care that is as individualized as your journey. We don’t rush the process—we focus on building trust, understanding the nuances of your experiences, and creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Our approach is grounded in science, compassion, patience, and a deep commitment to your healing and growth.
Every person has intersecting identities of gender, race, age, body size, sexual orientation, sexual expression, class, place of origin, and neurodiversity. We offer affirming care to everyone.
We offer in-person therapy at our office in Chevy Chase, Washington, D.C. and virtual therapy in almost every state to people ages 10+.
In our work together, we rely on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic tools, including:
We can’t wait to welcome you into a compassionate space that is just for you. No matter what stage you’re in or what you carry, you belong here.
We invite you to schedule a complimentary 15-minute therapy consultation with us where we will discuss your current goals, challenges, and how we can offer support.
If you wish to start therapy with us after your consultation, you will be invited to our HIPAA compliant client portal where you can complete 10-15 minutes of intake forms prior to our first appointment.
Together, you and your therapist will decide the frequency of your visits (weekly, biweekly) and the length of your sessions (30, 50, or 90-minutes).
How we work together may evolve over time. During challenging periods, you may choose to meet with your therapist more frequently, while at other times, when you’re feeling well, less frequent sessions may be enough. Regardless, you can trust that we see our role as a long-term support system for you, always here when you need us.
Investing in therapy is an investment in yourself and your health. Our fees range from $165 to $500, depending on the type of appointment and therapist. We understand that affordability is important, which is why all of our therapists reserve a limited number of reduced-fee slots for those who need it. Please feel free to discuss this option with your therapist to explore how we can make therapy accessible for you.
Payment is expected at the time of service, and we do not participate with any insurance companies directly. However we do provide our clients with a "superbill" to submit to their insurance company to take advantage of their out-of-network benefits. Many of our clients have received substantial reimbursement from their insurance providers, although it is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to understand your benefits.
"I can't imagine getting through this terrible diagnosis without your support. I have been so scared and so consumed with worry about all these medical appointments and my uncertain future. I am forever grateful that you are on my team. Just knowing you are there to talk things through gives me the confidence I need to figure out how to still live my life and handle these medical issues day by day."
